When the water pump starts up, the water pressure acts on the bottom of the main valve disc and the lower chamber of the control room, which makes the main valve open. The water in the upper chamber of the control room is slowly discharged to the outlet end through the regulating valve B, and the main valve is opened slowly. The proper opening speed of the main valve can be obtained by setting the opening of the regulating valve. When the water pump stops working, the water pressure at the inlet end drops rapidly, and most of the opening is quickly closed under the action of self weight and spring pressure to prevent water backflow. The remaining opening is slowly closed under the joint action of the water pressure of the upper chamber and the lower chamber of the control room, and the closing speed is slowed down to form a slow impact to prevent the pressure from sharply increasing. Setting the opening and opening ratio of regulating valves a and B can obtain the appropriate valve opening and closing speed.

The product is composed of main valve, regulating valve and connecting pipe system. The valve body adopts the direct current valve body. The main valve control room is a diaphragm type or piston type double control room structure. The control room is added with one more than the general hydraulic control valve.
